De Niro's Shepherd fears

Robert De Niro feared 'The Good Shepherd' would never get made.
The legendary actor - who directs and stars in the drama, which focuses on the early history of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) during the Cold War - was forced to pile his own money into the film because the major studios refused to touch it.
He said: "I didn't know if the movie would ever get made. I was having to hold it together myself, putting my money in."
The 63-year-old screen icon insists 'The Good Shepherd' - also starring Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie - has been his most interesting project to date.
He added: "Well, I was working on this for about seven or eight years, and I was also acting in movies. But I never had anything that interested me that much.
"I was interested in intelligence. I thought, well, it would be great if I could do a story about this world."
